James Newman is a Yorkshire born soul singer currently doing the toilet circuit in London to make a name for himself. Already impressing big names like James Morrison, Newman is showing signs of a very promising future indeed.
With a raw gravely voice that could smooth down a table Newman sings punchy soul pop that the likes of Winehouse, Nutini or even Plan B would be proud of. With an honest working class persona and loveable rogues on stage antics, he could be exactly what the UK charts are looking for right now.
Quite simply one of the best unsigned singer songwriters that I have seen.
